Everyone of all ages and backgrounds are warmly invited join us at Arts 4 Human Rights for this exiting opportunity to create a flash mob celebrating the diversity of Southwark!Families, friends and neighbours will spend the afternoon developing a short dance with an experienced choreographer and professional dancers.  We will bring our dance to the streets of Peckham to share with the community as a celebration of the opening of the Elephant and the Nun Festival.We are particularly keen to hear from local community, dance, sports and cultural groups who would like to take part, so please get in touch to let us know you’d like to come along!  Please feel free to share with anyone who would be interested.Email us at arts4humanrights@gmail.comPeckham Flash Mob

Following events in  connection with Focus Out exhibition 15th-23rd July

The exhibition runs from the 15-23rd July and during that week we have a series of event for you to take part in.

WATCH: We invite you to a film screening of the Overview effect by Planetary Collective which explores the phenomena astronauts experience when they see the Earth from the outside. Tuesday 16 July from 7.00

EAT: A supper club with TomTom focusing on connecting to Camberwell – and each other – through good food and conversations. Thursday 18 July from 7.30

EXPLORE: The exhibition is open 8.30 -4.30 Monday to Saturday – with aprivate view on Friday 19 July from 7.30. An evening exclusively for art explorers, Camberwell residents and our friends and family. You’ll have a chance to help create our growing window display, meet other locals and join us for a drink or two in the exhibition space.

IMAGINE: A family friendly Saturday drop in when Anna and Louise will be in residence to explore the co-created window display and imagine what’s next for us and the people and places we love. Saturday 20th July 10am-4pm.

PAST EVENTS

Artist Speed Network is a new initiative by House Gallery which will run in conjunction with the Camberwell Arts festival. (15th-23rd June).

22nd June 7-9pm £10

We would like local, mid career and emerging artists to take part.

  • Meet other artist to work collaborate with on your doorstep

  • Free gallery hire

  • enjoy a complimentary drink

Those taking part talk to someone for four minutes at a time. We ask that you bring a piece of work – a drawing, a sculpture, a design, and mp3, – to talk about. At the end of the evening, after conversation and a complimentary bottle of beer, artists who have ticked each others boxes will be put in touch and given 10 days in which to make a  joint proposal to the House Gallery for an exhibition at the end of August or beginning of January for free.
